Buying a Gift for a Loved on During Christmas? Check Out the iTunes Gift Card
Posted on: September 17, 2011
My sister is crazy about music and she's crazy about running.
She jogs all the time - after work she shucks off her office clothes, kicks off her pumps, and gets into her running outfit composed of sleek jogging pants and shirt, and her top-of-the-line, hyper-expensive running trainers. Sometimes she forgets to wear her watch which she uses to time her speed; but what she never forgets is her iPod. She securely straps her iPod to her bicep, plugs in her earphones, and off she goes. She does at least 2 kilometers everyday, and on a good day she does five. It's a good thing her iPod is always charged.
Now she says she doesn't want any gift this Christmas. She herself is too busy to go shopping for presents these days what with the work load she has and everyone in her staff being swamped. It wouldn't be an unintelligent or uninformed guess to posit that everyone on her list is either going to get cash or certificates this year.
So I'm going to give her a gift and do her a favor at the same time this year. For her Christmas present I am going to give her an itunes gift certificate. Then I'll also buy online itunes gift card. I'm sure she'll both appreciate the gesture. She's always saying that she needs to uplod new music on her player and but she doesn't have time. With a gift certificate she'll have no choice but to make time to go online so she can use it up. If there's anything she hates, it's waste, and she'd rather break an ankle running than waste a gift certificate, especially if its for free music.
So there: I'll be helping her get new music for her iPod; helping her to make her daily run even more enjoyable with new music playing in her ears; and giving her what she appreciates: a truly useful gift that didn't cost much, and that didn't use up yards of sticky tape and wrapping paper (she also hates the mess that comes with wrapping and opening presents). She can go online and surf for new music, buy new songs with the gift certificate, and enjoy the card. She can look forward to hours and hours of happy running with her new music and forget about the hassles of work and traffic.
In the meantime, I'm going to get all this on itunes credit because it's easy and convenient for me, as well.
